Charges and Arrests

On Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, a 32-year-old man was arrested and charged following investigations into a Burglary that occurred on February 9th, 2018, in Kew Town.

A 20-year-old man was formally charged with Burglary and Handling of Stolen goods on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, after a report was made on February 6th, 2018, of a South Dock home burglarized.

Both men are still in police custody and are expected to appear before the Court on Monday, February 19th, 2018.

A man is currently in Police custody, following investigations into an armed robbery that took place on Sunday, February 11th, 2018, when two males were robbed of their belongings in the Cooper Jack area.

 

Burglary 

Provo Police are investigating a Burglary that took place on Tuesday, February 13th, 2018, after a resident of the Bight reported to the 911 Centre that upon arriving home, he met his home ransacked and burgled.

Police Officers were also called to the scene of the Enid Capron Primary School on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, following a report to the 911 Centre.  The culprit(s) gained entry through the ceiling of the storage room.  This report is still under investigation.

 

Attempted Robbery and Discharging of a Firearm 

On Wednesday, February 14th, 2018, Provo Police responded to a 911 dispatch of an attempted robbery and the discharge of a firearm in Discovery Bay.  According to the complainant, upon arriving home he along with his wife were approached by an armed gunman who demanded money.  The masked gunman is described as wearing all black when he approached the couple from behind and fired one bullet after the complainant.  The gunman fled the scene.  There are no reports of injuries and Police are still investigating.
