TCI: Illegal Sloop Landing

#TurksandCaicos, January 2, 2018 – Providenciales – The Ministry of Border Control and Employment and the Immigration Department confirm that an illegal vessel landed on Providenciales on the morning of Monday, January 1, 2018.

Eighteen (18) persons including seventeen (17) males and one (1) female were apprehended in the North West Point and Silly Creek areas of Providenciales by the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and the Immigration Task Force.   These persons have been processed and remain detained at the Detention Center awaiting repatriation.

The Enforcement agencies of the Turks and Caicos Islands are asking that anyone with information concerning planned arrival of other sloops to contact the Police anonymously on 911 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 1-800-8477.
