#Bahamas, January 22, 2018 – Ragged Island – Caribbean’s first fully green island is the plan for Ragged Island in The Bahamas after it was ravaged in Hurricane Irma; a plan touted by The Bahamas Government and now a component is well underway with the establishment of a reverse osmosis plant.  Islanders are happier said a government issued report,  the frequent rain falls of late have been a help too.

Ragged Island, which has seen its population dwindle to 30 people since September’s Irma, was down to getting only 700 gallons of water per day.  There was outcry about the water shortage.

The new RO desalination plant on the far flung southern Bahamas island will now return to 5,000 gallons per day.
