#TurksandCaicos, January 18, 2018 – Providenciales – The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is investigating the landing of an illegal Haitian sloop, in the Five Cays Area. The incident occurred sometime between six and seven a.m. Thursday, January 18th, 2018. The total number of suspected migrants are not known at this time, however the Police along with Immigration Officials were able to apprehend 12 migrants.
Officers are currently conducting a search of the surrounding areas. Anyone with information on this illegal landing, are asked to contact 911 or crime stoppers at 1-800-TIPS.
