#TurksandCaicos, January 20, 2018 – Providenciales – Digicel is starting off 2018 by giving back to the community.  The company will do through our ‘Someone in Need Home Makeover’ campaign, which will give away appliances and services for a year, to two deserving persons in the community.

Customers can access the opportunity to nominate their choices for the reward, by activating a Quick Pick Plan, either through the My Digicel App or by short code.  The customer will then be given guidelines on creating a video submission, nominating their loved one.

For the nomination video, the customer will be required to give contact information for their choice and more importantly why they believe that person should be granted a home makeover.  All videos must be posted to the Digicel Facebook page and use the hashtag #DigicelHomeMakeover.

Commenting on the upcoming competition, Addison Stoddard, Digicel TCI’s Chief Technical Officer says, “Given what the country at large has been through over the last few months, I think this is a great way to start off the year.  We are always looking for new and innovative ways to help our customers.  So we are thrilled to be able to assist the community and to also have them know that people care about them and are willing to stand in support of a better life for them.”

The prizes for the each home makeover are: a Refrigerator, Stove, TV, a $250 grocery gift card, and a year’s free Digicel services along a new DL2 Smartphone.  The first winner will selected on February 24, and the second and final winner on March 31.

At the end of the campaign, there will also be a People’s Choice award given to the customer’s whose nomination video attracts the most likes on the Digicel Facebook page.  That customer will also be in winners’ row, since for their thoughtfulness in thinking of another in need, they will be given free Digicel services for a year and a DL2 smartphone.
