#TurksandCaicos, December 20, 2017 – Providenciales – A Haitian boat captain who had served jail time and been order to be deported out of the Turks and Caicos for his nefarious connection to illegal sloop landings and human trafficking was picked up yesterday on Airport Road in Provo; found to be once again in the Turks and Caicos after his July sentencing in a TCI court of law.
The Immigration Department is finally talking, but not much admitting to capturing one person and to one illegal sloop making landfall in Providenciales. Our sources say there was as many as five illegal landings suspected over the past two weeks; Immigration in a media release said there were seven boats from Haiti for 2017.
