#TurksandCaicos, December 20, 2017 – Providenciales – The Turks & Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association (TCHTA) today announced that Stacy Cox has ascended to the role of CEO of the organization as of September 2017. The transition to CEO formalizes much of the responsibility that Cox has already progressively adopted. Cox represents the membership of TCHTA on matters affecting the tourism and hospitality industry, both locally and internationally, including advocacy issues and marketing initiatives, which help build a sustainable tourism product through awareness, outreach and educational programs. She also serves as the key liaison to the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA) and the current President of its Caribbean Society of Hotel Association Executives (CSHAE).
“I’m honored to receive this promotion,” said Cox. “And I am excited to lead the Turks & Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association forward, continuing our efforts to accomplish key objectives on behalf of our members and by extension the destination’s hospitality and tourism industry.”
Cox joined the TCHTA as Association Executive in September 2011 and was later promoted to Executive Director. A native of the Bahamas and a citizen of the Turks and Caicos Islands, she brings 20+ years of hospitality experience to the TCHTA.

This title change is a natural evolution that recognizes Stacy’s successively growing responsibilities here at the Turks and Caicos Hotel and Tourism Association.”
Advani continues, “I speak on behalf of the entire Association when I say that we look forward to Stacy’s continued service to our members, and in protecting the interests of the broader hospitality and tourism industry.”
Cox’s storied career as one of the region’s most respected and knowledgeable professionals in hospitality began at the world-famous Atlantis Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas, where she quickly moved her way up the ranks. Since relocating to the Turks and Caicos in 1997, she has held several General Manager positions at luxury resorts including the Windsong Resort and Royal West Indies Resort.
Cox has also served as a Board Member for TCHTA, co-founded the TCI Hospitality Adventure – Lit’l Chef program, and many other tourism related projects.
