#Bahamas, November 30, 2017 – Ragged Island – Hardly any water is being produced on storm struck Ragged Island and the Water and Sewerage Corporation says it is going to be another three months before things change.    Eight gallons per hour per day is all that the WSC is reportedly producing for the people of Ragged Island after the system was decimated in September’s Hurricane Irma; but the Corporation says that is not right, it is actually 700 gallons per day which can only meet critical needs.

It is not just water problems for islanders, but electricity.  While many homes have been returned to the grid thanks to Bahamas Power and Light, others which are not meeting the building code or still with damage since the storm are not reconnected as yet.   Progress is also being made in the clean up revealed the media report, 90 per cent of the work is done and community members are actively involved in getting back to life as usual by stacking debris.  I

t is less clear, according to the update, what is to happen to the piles of rubble which must get to the city dump.
