Grand Turk Chef named Chop Off Cook Off Winner for 2017

#TurksandCaicos, December 4, 2017 – Providenciales – The best local chef in these beautiful by nature islands is crowned as Renarda Williams of Grand Turk, the Lobster Fiesta Chop off Cook off challenge on Friday night was a hit and pit four islands with chefs representing them against each other in a masterful showdown.  TCI Culinary Ambassador Chef Nik Skippings and Crackpot Kitchen hosted the event at Ports of Call, the Lobster Fiesta is also held in memory of his father, the late Aulden Smokey Smith, hailed as one of the premier chefs of the Turks and Caicos who passed away in 2016. 

Among her prizes, Renarda Williams, who demonstrated an unmatched poise on the stage before scores of onlookers was presented a $1,500 cash prize by Global Capital.   The event was also sponsored by JACATCI, Ports of Call, Herzog and Flow.   Hosts for the evening were Bianca Harvey and Obrien Forbes.
