#Bahamas, December 4, 2017 – Nassau – Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames speaks at the Official Launching of the Angel Tree Programme, on December 1, 2017, at Town Centre Mall. Prison Fellowship Bahamas sponsors the fundraising and volunteer-driven programme; and it is a way for the children of prisoners to receive Christmas presents on behalf of their parents.
As long as they are allowed access to their children, prisoners are given the opportunity to apply for a gift to be sent to them. Each gift is sent as though it is from the parent and is accompanied by a personal message written from the parent for their child.
