The holiday has morphed to being more focused on the turkey led menu, the parade, the football and the tax free shopping aka Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
There is however a strong tradition of spending time with family, which makes the holiday weekend a most important time for Americans. On Friday, the Turks and Caicos holds its own National Day of Thanksgiving.
