From Bahamas Information Services:  Executives of the Bahamas Christian Council paid a courtesy call recently on Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames.    President Bishop Delton Fernander, Rev. Dr. Patrick Paul, Rev. Ronald Campbell and  Bishop Gregory Minnis stopped in for a courtesy meeting with Minister for National Security, Hon Marvin Dames and National Security Undersecretary, Eugene Poitier.

Remembrance Day was celebrated in fine form once again in The Bahamas and the new FNM Administration got an opportunity – as the Government – to pay homage to fallen service men and those still with us from The Bahamas and around the world.    In fact, on Saturday Minister of National Security the Hon. Marvin Dames, Member of Parliament for Fort Charlotte Mark Humes and Commander of the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Commodore Tellis Bethel participated in the British Legion — Bahamas Branch Remembrance Day Pre-Memorial Service, held at The Bahamas Veterans Cemetery on Infant View Road.    Mr. Humes is also the grandson of the Late Comrade Audley Humes, a Bahamian war veteran.
