TCI: World Hope to the rescue for Salt Cay in aftermath of Hurricane Irma

#TurksandCaicos, November 11, 2017 – Salt Cay -The Turks and Caicos Islands are so very blessed!  Did you know that an organisation called World Hope has been in Salt Cay for the past seven weeks making fresh, tasty drinking water for the people?

For 10 hours a day, a team of volunteers from US based #WorldHope are running a solar powered, portable Reverse Osmosis system which they brought; it is set up at the same site of the Govt RO plant.   World Hope is not only turning sea water into fresh water but they are serving Salt Cay people as they show up for the free drinking water.

I’m still deeply moved my interview of 23 year Cleveland Ohio man – Zachery Tan.   Zach called it an opportunity and counts it an honour to be there for Salt Cay.   Zachery, a carpenter by trade and a World Hope volunteer, has been on Salt Cay for three weeks now.   Amazing right?!

My conclusion: Salt Cay is NOT forgotten.
