#TurksandCaicos, November 17, 2017 – Providenciales – The PDM Administration yesterday aimed to extinguish the fiery charge that they are being controlled by the so called, Grace Bay Boys and are not supportive of the Desarollos Hotelco development of a RitzCarlton resort along the world famous strip.
“I don’t know what clearer way to say we welcome the Ritz Carlton project, I mean there is no such thing as any member of this government being in the Grace Bay Boys pocket, whatever that mean.”
In a media one on one on Thursday, the Premier took the question and said the PDM has long supported the idea and only wait to see the final determinations from the Environmental Impact Assessment to know what kind of development will be permitted at the site. Tourism Minister Ralph Higgs said the Administration welcomes the idea of having the RitzCarlton brand.
There are vociferous claims by countrymen, including the Opposition PNP that the PDM was against the project and would do the bidding of those who are believed to be against the development. A firm rejection of that notion came from the panel which included all Cabinet Ministers.
