TCI: Government signs off on Protocol to protect children of the Turks & Caicos Islands

#TurksandCaicos, November 15, 2017 – Providenciales -HAPPENING NOW at the Office of the Premier. The Department of Social Development hosting a pivitol Protocol Signing to further protect the Children of the Turks and Caicos.

Its standing room only at the ceremony where the Director Tiffany Thomas-Browne has applauded the finalization of the document.   Minister of Home Affairs Delroy Williams said the protocol signing signals clearly, how we want our children to be treated in the TCI.

Also on hand for the ceremony to sign into law are former Human Rights Commissioner, Doreen Quelch-Stubbs; new Human Rights Commission Director, Sabrina Green; Health Minister Edwin Astwood; Education & Youth Minister Karen Malcolm; Tourism Minister Ralph Higgs; Infrastructure Minister Goldray Ewing; Police Commissioner James Smith; Michael Dillon; Premier Sharlene Robinson and Deputy Governor Anya Williams.

The Protocol is ‘The Multi Agency Protocol for Prevention Reporting and Management of Child Abuse and Neglect.’
