#Bahamas, November 18, 2017 – Grand Bahama – On a one-day trip to Grand Bahama, wife of Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Hubert A. Minnis, on Thursday, November 16, 2017 brightened the day of the young, as well as the young at heart.    Mrs. Patricia Minnis, upon arrival in Grand Bahama, traveled to the West End community, where she read to students of West End Primary.

Following this, she made a few home visits, accompanied by Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and Member of Parliament for West End and Bimini, Mrs. Pakesia Parker-Edgecombe.

It was then on to lunch with the senior citizens for their Thanksgiving Luncheon at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church where Mrs. Minnis spoke on passing on knowledge to the younger generation: she encouraged the residents to share their knowledge of child rearing, marriage, cooking, sewing, construction, and any other information that could assist in building better communities.  Following lunch, Mrs. Minnis was presented with gifts — a floral sculpture by Ms. Cathy Laing of the Office of the Prime Minister, Grand Bahama, and honey from the farm of Mr. James Taylor.
