#Bahamas, November 30, 2017 – Nassau – New partners for Bahamas Feeding Network will lead to even more families being fed as technology is incorporated into the giving process in time for the holidays.   AML Foods Ltd and ALIV are partnered with the charity for a text and donate promotion aimed at raising $100,000 and it is called Feed 5,000 Families.

A $40 donation will buy a family a holiday meal and to jump start the campaign, AML Foods has pledged $20,000.   ALIV is asking for us to text FEEDAML to 2648 to make a donation.   AML stores in New Providence and Grand Bahama are on board, and include Solomon’s Fresh Market, Cost Right Wholesale, Solomon’s Super Centre and the new Solomon’s Yamacraw store.

In Grand Bahama, donations can be made at Solomon’s locations there and Cost Right Wholesale Freeport.   And you do not have to make any purchase in order to donate.   The Bahamas Feeding Network’s team of volunteers prepares and distributes more than 2,200 meals every single week in an ongoing campaign to end hunger.   Every $40 donation will buy a food parcel including a picnic ham, whole chicken, five-pound bag of rice, two cans of peas, two cans of vegetables and a box of stuffing. The package will comfortably feed a family of four.

The Feed 5000 Families campaign runs until December 17.
