No TCI contestant at Miss Universe, South Africa wins

#UnitedStates, November 27, 2017 – Las Vegas, Nevada – For the second year, Turks and Caicos had no beauty ambassador at the Miss Universe pageant. Still residents were tuned in for the contest, which this year, had the most entrants at 92 beauties from around the world.
Creeping close to taking the crown, once again was Caribbean country, Jamaica. Davina Bennett got 2ndrunner up in the pageant, which was held in Las Vegas. First runner up was Miss Colombia Laura Gonzalez and winning the title of Miss Universe 2017-2018, was Miss South Africa, Demi Leigh Nell Peters.
