#TurksandCaicos, October 17, 2017 – Providenciales – Police say they have launched an investigation into what happened to cause a 4 year old boy to die; the young child’s body was discovered on Friday at the bottom of sewage well in the Bight. Police had originally reported that they were ‘meeting’ regarding the unfortunate death of such a young person and in such a precarious place.
A statement today said, “On Friday 13th October 2017 around 11:53am Police officers and other emergency services responded to the scene where it was reported that the 4-year old and his twin brother were outside playing when he fell into a sewage well in the yard. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.”
Video on PTV8 news showed the child’s body being taken from the scene, wrapped in white and there was no adult on site to immediately answer questions about what led to the little boy’s death.
