TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK🙁1) A non-tropical area of low pressure in the Florida Straits about 100 miles west-southwest of Key West is interacting with an upper-level low to produce a broad area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms across the Florida peninsula, west-central Cuba and adjacent waters. Upper-level winds are forecast to be unfavorable for tropical cyclone formation while the system moves west-northwestward over the eastern Gulf of Mexico during the next day or two.
(2) An area of low pressure is forecast to form on a frontal boundary over the weekend about 900 miles southwest of the Azores. This low could acquire some subtropical or tropical characteristics early next week while it remains nearly stationary over the northeastern Atlantic Ocean. Elsewhere tropical cyclone formation is not expected during the next 5 days.
