Super storm surges forecast in Irma, all islands on alert

Turks and Caicos, September 6th, 2017 – Providenciales –  When it comes to what we can expect from Hurricane Irma, the experts are saying up to 20ft storm surge, up to two feet of rain and extremely strong winds.  The DDME, early this morning advised that the Turks and Caicos is under a Hurricane warning.

Tropical Storm force conditions are expected by tomorrow, during the day and Irma was at 5am moving WNW at 16mph.  Behind her, but expected to veer north is Tropical Storm Jose, which will become a hurricane by the weekend and that Tropical Depression we were watching yesterday, well it is now a tropical storm too – Tropical Storm Katia.
