#TurksandCaicos, September 4, 2017 – Providenciales – The Department of Environment & Coastal Resources (DECR) would like to advise the public that sand, for the filling of sand bags during hurricane preparations, may be collected at the following locations:
- Providenciales: National Environmental Centre, DECR, Lower Bight Road
- Grand Turk: Central Processing Unit (CPU) Yard , ( additionally, a limited amount of sand will be at the Red Cross Office on Hospital Road)
- South Caicos: Library yard
- North & Middle Caicos, Salt Cay: Please contact the District Commissioner for further instruction
Please also bring along a shovel to load the bags with sand. Please contact your nearest Red Cross branch at 331-8056 or 331-3443 to determine when and where sand bags may be collected.
