#TurksandCaicos, September 26, 2017 – Providenciales – The RT&CIPF Police Records Office is still yet to open but restarting the service remains a high priority for the Force.   We are Working continuously to resolve the issues.   The delay has been caused by the damage caused by Hurricane Irma to Police Headquarters and the impact on the connectivity to crucial areas of IT.

At this time, it is anticipated that some service will be on line next week with records that have already been processed being available for collection and applications for new Police Records being received for the following criteria:

– Persons traveling within 14 days of application and documentary proof of travel i.e Airline Ticket

– No police records application will be accepted for Jobs until further noticed.

Acting Commissioner of Police Trevor Botting said,  ” I want to thank the community for their patience whilst we worked to resolve the challenges of restarting the #PoliceRecords Service.   I understand the frustrations this situation has caused but want to reassure the community that this has been, and remains a top priority and we are working hard to resolve it.   Further information will be provided later this week with more details.”
