#Bahamas, September 25, 2017 – Grand Bahama – Road blocks to investment for Grand Bahama are being worked on, the plan is to see them eliminated says the country’s leader PM Hubert Minnis who made a second visit to #GrandBahama this month.   The PM said there is a commitment to work with the Grand Bahama Port Authority to streamline the investment process and mentioned there was a review of the immigration and customs exchange control policy; the intention, said Dr. Minnis is to make it easier to invest and to do business in Freeport.

The promise to transform the Port Lucaya strip was also made, the PM said they want a unique and innovative destination for Grand Bahama.   And while there was talk that the plan would ensure jobs and soon be unveiled, no date for the reveal was given.

The loss of The Bahamas Celebration was due to a need for the liner to aid the US Government with hurricane relief efforts and now talk has emerged of a second cruise liner to Grand Bahama; that vessel begins in April 2018 with a chance for sailings to begin even before the official launch date.
