#Bahamas, September 25, 2017 – Grand Bahama – There was a commitment to put more money into Bahamian Junkanoo by the Minister as he presented seed money to groups in Nassau ahead of the upcoming Boxing Day and New Year’s Day parades. Minister of Culture, Michael Pintard called the presentation which happened on Thursday an honour, adding that the government is serious about stepping up to the plate to keep up the important tradition of Junkanoo.
He said, “we are looking forward to playing a pivotal role as a government in helping to revitalize and further expand Junkanoo.”
Minister Pintard explained that a PPP or public private partnership is being devised to further revitalize #Junkanoo.
