Bahamas, September 15, 2017 – Grand Lucayan – Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan, the Caribbean resort offering guests an authentic Bahamian experience, fared well during the storm and will be re-opening its doors on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017.

“Aside from the loss of a few trees, no damage resulted from the storm at Lighthouse Pointe at Grand Lucayan,” said Veronica Clarke, hotel manager. “We are relieved to be re-opening quickly and our thoughts remain with our neighbors in the Caribbean who are not as fortunate.”

Grand Bahama International Airport is just 20 minutes from the resort, with Silver Airways, American Eagle and Bahamasair offering daily flights to and from Grand Bahama Island while Delta Airlines offer flights every Saturday. There are two cruise lines offering scheduled trips to and from Grand Bahama Island for those who prefer travelling by sea — Bahamas Paradise sails from Palm Beach, Florida every other day, and Balearia Bahamas Express sails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Tuesdays and Thursdays through Sundays.
