#TurksandCaicos, September 12, 2017 – Providenciales – Tons of senior-friendly food were donated by InterHealth Canada to restock the Mount Moriah Baptist Church Food Bank on Middle Caicos and assist elderly residents on the island.

Reverend Evans Williams of the local church is preparing to commence the food distribution to elderly residents in need following the passage of Category 5 Hurricane Irma.

InterHealth Canada graciously purchased boxes of non-perishable items and partnered with companies, Air & Sea Agency and Lew1 to provide logistics and shipping assistance, free of charge, prior the arrival of Hurricane Irma.

The church delivers food to seniors on a monthly basis across the island via the food bank.   However, this was the first year the church struggled to restock their inventory in the midst of the Hurricane Season.

InterHealth Canada – Turks and Caicos Islands Hospital is happy to render assistance at such a vulnerable time for residents in the sister island.
