Turks and Caicos, September 5th, 2017 – Providenciales – With hurricane Irma currently forecasted to be a major threat to the Turks and Caicos Islands, FortisTCI wishes to advise its customers that in the event an evacuation order is issued by the Turks Caicos and Caicos Islands Government for any of our services territories, the Company will comply fully with the order.
As a result, the supply of electricity in parts of our service territories, like Salt Cay, may be affected. In the event that the supply of electricity is lost, service will be restored when it is safe, and when it is legal to do so in accordance with the evacuation order.
