#United Kingdom, August 11, 2017 – London –  Tynia Gaither and Shaunae Miller Uibo advanced Thursday in the semis of the women’s 200m run at the IAAF World Championships in London.    Anthonique Strachan, who made it out of round one did not make the next stage of the races and that will be disappointing for her… also missing her medal dream is Bianca Stuart, national record holder in the long jump.

Stuart competed on Wednesday and placed 29th of the competitors with a jump of 5.91.    Her PB is 6.83m.    Minister of Sports, Michael Pintard is among those in London supporting the team.

Silver man in that 200m for The Bahamas Steven Gardiner stood on the podium in the medal presentation ceremony Wednesday at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Stadium, “the boy wonder from the Bahamas, silver medalist of the quarter mile distance,” representing the 242 in stellar fashion.
