#TurksandCaicos, August 25, 2017 – Providenciales – By March 2018, the Turks and Caicos will return to observing #DaylightSavingsTime. TCIG informed of it on Monday explaining, “Cabinet has taken a decision on July 19, 2017 for the reintroduction of seasonal time change in the Turks and Caicos Islands to have Daylight Saving Time (DST) during the summer months and standard time, otherwise known as local time during the winter months and for the same to take effect on March 11, 2018.”
The new Administration has faced harsh criticism for the measure, with reverses what was done by the previous government administration. Many, ironically calling it, a waste of time. The reinstatement of DST will follow the same schedule as the eastern United States and Canada; so next year we all will adjust time one our forward.
