Private Breast Feeding rooms open, TCI marks World Breast Feeding Week

Turks and Caicos, August 4, 2017 – Providenciales – Private breast feeding is now available at the TCI Hospitals, which this week announced that it opened two new private breast feeding rooms at their Provo facility.   The initiative is in keeping with the TCI Hospitals efforts for more Baby Friendly hospitals and happens during World Breast Feeding week.

Yolande Robinson was the first mother to use the space, by all appearances the Hospitals and Ministry of Health working together made a good first impression.   The goal in this partnership between public and private healthcare is to meet the UNICEF standards for Baby Friendly hospitals and to see healthier, happier babies and mommies resulting from an increase in families opting to breast feed their newborns.    A third breast feeding room is also slated for opening at the Grand Turk hospital.
