Police investigate attack on a 67 year old male

Turks and Caicos, August 9, 2017 – Providenciales – Officers of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force on Grand Turk are investigating an attack on a 67 year old male in relation to a report made today (Wednesday 9th August 2017).

Around 6:28 AM, Police and Medical team responded to the vicinity of Fisherman’s Paradise Bar in Over Back where the victim was met with what appeared to be blood over his body. He told officers that while walking towards his vehicle earlier he was attacked by a slim built male with locks or regular braids and a female cladded in a white jumpsuit. The culprits beat him about his head and body and stole his cell phone and wallet containing credit cards and drivers license before making off in his 2000 Lexus Jeep. The victim was transported to the Cockburn Town Medical Centre where he is said to be in stable condition.

The vehicle was recovered in the North Creek area.

Police are seeking your assistance to find the persons responsible for this crime. We’re asking anyone who was in the area of Fisherman’s Paradise Bar known as ‘Tarine Bar’ who may have seen the attack or persons described above to contact the police at 946-2299 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-8477.
