Turks and Caicos, August 8, 2017 – Providenciales – FortisTCI said the outages of Thursday and Friday last week were due to equipment failure on a section of the underground transmission lines to the Grace Bay Substation. The media release which came on Monday explains that electrical systems are complex and equipment failures will happen from time to time and that the company understands the impact of the interruptions.
The power supplier thanked residents for their patience, adding that service was restored by 1:30pm Friday and the situation is being monitored.
