#TurksandCaicos, August 31, 2017 – Providenciales – There is an EIA of tremendous interest to the public available for review according to the Planning Department. On Wednesday it was announced that the Environmental Impact Assessment for Desarrollos Hotelco TCI Development Ltd, also known as the #RitzCarltonHotelDevelopment is done and can be viewed online.https://www.gov.tc/pressoffice/927-ritz-carlton-resort-eia-final-report.
If you are unable to access the online copy, then drop by the Grand Turk office to collect a hard copy. The Planning Department confirmed in their public notice that the EIA was submitted in accordance with condition 25 of the Outline Development Permission for the Ritz Carton Hotel Development, which was granted over a year ago, on August 15, 2016.
There is resistance by some to see this taller development constructed in Grace Bay, while others believe this project will create much needed jobs in the construction sector and drive a new type of visitor for a new type of hotel experience to Provo.
