Turks and Caicos, August 4, 2017 – Grand Turk – Monday is when the Turks and Caicos will commemorate the 183rd anniversary of the abolition of slavery and a special service will be held in Grand Turk to mark the revolutionary event. At 9am at St Mary’s Pro Cathedral on Front Street on Sunday August 6, is when and where the Culture Department will hold the Emancipation Day Service. The public is invited.
Monday, is the bank or public holiday, observing Emancipation.
