28 year old male charged with three counts of Robbery

Turks and Caicos, August 9, 2017 – Providenciales – A 28 year-old male of Providenciales has been charged with three (3) counts of Robberies which occurred on different dates on Providenciales.

The first Robbery report was made on Saturday 1st April 2017 around 10:58 pm.   The complainant contacted Chalk Sound Police Station and stated that he gave two males a ride from the Leeward Highway and upon reaching Down Town one of the males pulled a firearm on him and took his cell phone.

The second incident was reported on Monday 17th April 2017 at 11:20 PM.   The victim told officers that he picked up three (3) men in his car along the Leeward Highway.   While in the vehicle the three culprits beat and robbed him of a large sum of money and a black Android cellular phone.

The third incident was reported on Wednesday 19th April around 4:23 PM, officers responded to an area along the Long Bay Road where the victim was met and told officers that he gave two (2) men ride from the Lower Bight Road and upon reaching the vicinity of Long Bay Express one of the males held him by his throat while the other searched him.   They got away with a small amount of cash and a Samsung Galaxy 4 phone.

Police Launched investigations into these reports since they were made.   The male will be taken to court later this week.
