Teenager remanded for two armed robberies with fake gun

Turks and Caicos, July 25, 2017 – Providenciales – Police have also arrested a 17 year old boy and he is now locked away, on remand until a hearing which is due to happen this month.   The teenager is believed to be behind the robbery of a store on July 4th and the robbery of a liquor store on July 8.

In the variety store incident, the suspect not only emptied the cash register, but struck the store clerk on her arm.    In each instance the perpetrator was masked and toting a small handgun.  The boy was arrested on July 10 and charged with two counts of robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear.

The 17 year old, last week appeared in court.
