Grenada, July 7, 2017 – St. George’s – Turks and Caicos Premier Sharlene Robinson this week attended the 38th regular meeting of CARICOM Heads of Government when it was held in Grenada. The Premier in a media interview said while the TCI is only an Associate Member of CARICOM, the country is looking for support when it begins negotiations with the UK during its Brexit phase.
Premier Hon Robinson said the TCI is concerned at maintaining the benefits enjoyed due to its association to the European Union; she believes the Caribbean Community could help to bolster the TCIs position. CARICOM meetings wrapped up Thursday July 6.
