Nassau, Bahamas July 21, 2017 — St. Lucian sprinter Julien Alfred made history last night at the Commonwealth Youth Games when she won the country’s first gold medal in a sprint event at a major championship.
Alfred won the Girl’s 100m final in 11.56 seconds. She was also a finalist at this year’s Carifta Games in the Under-18 Girls 100m.
