PM Minnis returns home after CARICOM debut

Bahamas, July 10th 2017 :Prime Minister Dr. the Hon. Hubert Minnis returned to Nassau on Friday evening, July 7, following his debut at CARICOM meeting as Head of State.  He attended and addressed the 38th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) in St. George’s, Grenada, July 4-6.

In addressing leaders gathered, Minnis told regional heads to continue embracing the United Nations’ climate protocols to combat climate change.  Dr Minnis was accompanied to Grenada by his wife, Patricia Minnis, Foreign Affairs Minister Darren Henfield, Education Minister Jeffrey Lloyd, Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister Joshua Sears, Bahamas Ambassador-designate to CARICOM Reuben Rahming, and the Director General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sharon Brennen-Haylock. Shown disembarking from Bahamasair flight from Miami, he’s greeted by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Hon. K. Peter Turnquest and Secretary to the Cabinet, Camille Johnson.  The Prime Minister held a press conference at LPIA upon arrival.
