Bahamas, July 28, 2017 – Nassau – Too much money was spent on BAMSI explained the Prime Minister last night when he addressed the nation over radio and TV.    PM Minnis called the $80M price tag for the Bahamas Agricultural and Marine Science Institute excessive and said the money would have been better spent at the University of The Bahamas for the development of a wider range of human skills and talents.

It was revealed that in the months leading up to the General Elections, the PLP Administration spent a quarter of a billion dollars or $250M with what the new leader called, wild abandon and no results.    To aide in the recovery of the Bahamian economy it was said a special commission will be established to advise on diversification of the economy, removal the red tape hampering local and foreign investment and to offer guidance on trade missions of The Bahamas to other countries for example.
