Bahamas 15th in early Commonwealth Youth Games medal count

Nassau, Bahamas July 21, 2017 — With five medals thus far, The Bahamas currently ranks 15th in an early medal count at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

Bahamian athletes have achieved three bronze and two silver medals in the games. Izaak Bastian and Lilly Higgs both won Silver in the Boys and Girls 50 m Breaststroke respectively. Mya Beneby and Karra Hanna both won Bronze in the Girls 57kg and 70+kg Judo events respectively. Meanwhile Adrian Curry won Bronze in the Boys 100m race.
