Turks and Caicos, June 14, 2017 – West Caicos – A 77-year old Washington Man is the latest apparent drowning death in TCI waters, and reports to Magnetic Media are that it happened while on a diving trip near West Caicos on Monday, just one day after the man arrived in the islands with family from the States.
The guests of the Coral Gardens hotel are reportedly in tremendous distress, not only because of the sudden death but also because they are Muslim and would wish for Police not to conduct an autopsy. However, post mortems are how cause of death is determined by Police in this jurisdiction. The family of nine was due to be in the TCI for a week.
This is the third death at sea for the Turks and Caicos in recent weeks.
