TCI Tourism Minister gets CTO industry Award, Stewart wins too

United States, June 8, 2017 – New YorkTurks and Caicos wins in Tourism rolling in this week, as former Tourist Board director and current Tourism Minister, Hon Ralph Higgs will today be bestowed a special honour at the CTO Awards Luncheon in New York.   Minister Higgs will be presented with the Allied Award. 

Established in 2005, the Allied Award is presented to an individual among the CTO family who has done an extraordinary job of contributing, in a tangible way, to the sustainable development not only of his or her country, but of the region.

The North Caicos MP will today get the prize at the Wyndham New Yorker, where the event is set for noon to 2pm. 

Another honoree is no stranger to the Turks and Caicos; it is Adam Stewart, Deputy Chairman of Sandals Resort International who will get the Jerry Award, for demonstrated passion in the development of the region through time, energy, financial, and other personal and professional resources. 

It is Caribbean Week in NY.
