Turks and Caicos, June 5, 2017 – ProvidencialesPolice patrol led to the discovery of the latest group of illegals and the good news is that this time there was an interception of the vessel and not a landing.  Sixty six Haitians were on board, 59 men and seven women are now at the South Dock Road detention center being processed and awaiting repatriation.

Just last week, the TCI sent home 27 Haitians who arrived on a sloop which illegally landed in North West Point, Providenciales the week prior.  In that case, an unknown number of migrants and what they may have had on board got into the country.  This latest boat was spotted by Police, it is believed the sighting was so far out that the coastal radar did not yet detect the vessel.
