Nassau, Bahamas June 23, 2017 — German carrier Condor Airways is scheduled to start service to The Bahamas in November as part of a bid by Government to increase airlift from non-traditional markets.

This was revealed by Prime Minister Dr. Hubert Minnis during his address to the Board of Directors of the Bahamas Hotel & Tourism Association recently. The Frankfurt-based airline will be operating flights from both Frankfurt and Munich with 90 destinations. “Air Service from the Frankfurt hub comes with the added benefit of connections to cities all over Western and Eastern Europe,” said Minnis.

With the added influx of tourists, Minnis says there must also be a focus on making travel between the Family Islands more accessible and encouraging a Bahamian international carrier. “We must think boldly and widely, about how Bahamians can own, or be involved in, the multiple dimensions of tourism,” he added.
