CORRECTION in alleged rape report

Published

on

Turks and Caicos, June 20, 2017 – Providenciales – The man, who is the center of a case of alleged rape against a Haitian woman, while working for him in the Turks and Caicos is not a member of the judiciary.   Our report yesterday said that this prominent citizen was a part of the judicial system and is a judge, but the Attorney General , guided by the TCI Constitution explains that individuals who function in government established statutory tribunals are not considered a part of the judiciary.

We therefore correct that characterization as no sitting magistrate, judge or justice is under suspicion for the alleged sexual assault.   Magnetic Media apologizes for any inconveniences caused.
