Turks and Caicos, May 8, 2017 – Providenciales – Dominican Poachers are being treated for scabies and their family is reaching out to us from the DR, worried about their loved ones.   We spoke to DR Assistant consulate, Edwin Hernandez who assured that the 43 men who say they are not guilty of poaching, are expected to completely get over the scabies outbreak at the detention centre which is where the men found on March 16, 2017 illegally in TCI waters, are on remand.

The group was in court last week fighting the eight charges leveled against them for alleged poaching.  Magnetic Media understands that the accused fishermen defend themselves by saying Police did not catch them in the act of fishing and that the marine product found on the boat, was not from TCI waters but from The Bahamas, we are told.
