Minnis makes last minute promises to Berry Islands

Bahamas, May 8th 2017, Berry Islands: The FNM leader is promising free tertiary education to students from the Berry Islands. Dr.Hubert Minnis met with residents on Monday in his last lap through The Bahamas before the May 10th polls. The FNM team has dubbed his visits, Five Stops in 48 hours, ahead of Elections on Wednesday. Minnis told the small crowd gathered, that monthly stipends would be given to residents attending University of The Bahamas from the Berry Islands, cancelling any worry for parents concerned over their welfare while studying.

Minnis added that a new Community Centre was on the cards for the Berry Islands. He promised answers to the $1.94 Billion collected from VAT revenue streams, saying there was money to meet the needs of the people. In rounding up his meet and greet, Minnis urged the residents to head to the polls early in the morning and cast their ballots.
