United States, May 11, 2017 – Washington, DCFollowing his attendance at the World Health Care Congress in Washington DC earlier this month, Health Minister Edwin Astwood says plans are under way for TCI to soon become a medical tourism destination.

The two-day conference brought regional health ministers into conversation with agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and the American Hospital Association.    At the conference Astwood focused on fostering relations with US, Caribbean and Latin American stakeholders on areas dealing with medical travel.    He said he hopes TCI can develop a niche healthcare market with a reputation for “excellence in patient care, patient experience and satisfaction.”
